Christine Marie Heath has over 20 years of stage experience in opera, musical theatre, and orchestral concert work. She has been teaching since 2014 and actively pursues her own professional development. Her versatility, knowledge, and valued reputation throughout the music industry continues to propel her career as a devoted music educator.
Christine is currently the Primary Music Teacher at Tuxedo Park School and an Adjunct Voice Professor at New Jersey City University. Her philosophy for music education is simple: How we teach is equally as important as what we teach. Younger students learn the fundamentals of music while also developing essential social-emotional skills. In performance training, she celebrates each student’s individuality, aids them in creating their own personal truth, and allows them to produce a healthy, sustainable sound rooted in presence.
Christine’s extensive performing experience throughout the United States and overseas spans from classical soprano characters such as Susanna in Le Nozze di Figaro and Despina in Cosi fan tutte to intense belting roles like Eva Peron in Evita and Lilli Vanessi in Kiss Me Kate. She has earned a Bachelors degree and a Masters degree, both in Vocal Performance.
